202629-Wrathall Project
Dad had an idea. We helped bring it to life.
Designed by David
Wayne wanted to contribute something to his daughter and future son-in-law’s new home in Canon Hill Australia. Having known David and Liz for several years, and with their friendship growing from work into something more, he asked David to help develop his idea for a new garage. The challenge was to make the garage feel like it belonged — not as an addition competing with the house, but as part of the original home. Positioned forward of the house and along the boundary, the design needed to provide the additional space while carefully managing the street presence, scale and relationship with the existing dwelling. The interactive plans & following transformation video show how the proposal works with what is already there, rather than simply adding something on.
