202640-Sheridan Crescent RENOVATIONS

Bringing the family together.

Designed by David

Having previously owned a larger home where family gatherings and entertaining were a big part of life, the client wanted to recreate that experience in her existing three-bedroom, 94sqm home. Rather than simply adding floor area, the concept focuses on reconnecting the home around the way she loves to live. Existing consolidated space created a generous new kitchen with walk-in scullery and a 2.7m island, overlooking the existing dining area (original lounge area). A new gabled extension, designed to complement the existing roof forms, creates the lounge that flows naturally onto the existing decking and out towards the beautiful north-facing grounds. A sunken outdoor living space adds another dimension to the entertaining experience, with the opportunity to introduce a covered outdoor connection either now or in the future. The result is a home that retains its original character and practicality while creating the space, connection and atmosphere to bring family and friends together again.
